With Mike Gray (Hasbro) and Richard Borg (game designer)

With Mike Gray (Hasbro acquisitions, game designer) & Richard Borg (game designer)

Above: Jeff & I with Richard Borg and Mike Gray at Alan Moon's Gathering Of Friends.

Richard Borg designed Memoir '44, Liar's Dice, Battlelore, Commands & Colors, and other games. Mike Gray was a game designer but is now senior director of new product acquisition at Hasbro as well as helping other game designers at the company.

Both SUPER-nice guys and very modest about their accomplishments.

Please keep your fingers crossed....

Seeking suggestions for where to send my book proposal

Disappointing news: although the editor who approached me about writing a book was on board, she was unable to convince the rest of the acquisitions team. :-(

I am now actively seeking suggestions about where you think I should pitch this book next. It HAS an audience as well as the support of many in the board gaming community. Many thanks to the board gaming sites and publications who have already told me they'd be happy to help promote the book.

If any gamers out there have publishing contacts or suggestions about publishers who may be interested, PLEASE do let me know by e-mailing me directly (Debbie@DebbieOhi.com) with "boardgaming book" in the subject header.

I'm in NYC right now trying to get back to Toronto (weather permitting!) but should be back in regular e-mail contact within the next few days.

Thanks so much for your continuing support of this project, all!

Final Episode Of Board Games With Scott

You can find Scott's new space at The Game Professor. Sad that his show is ending, but great that he explains why so reasonably. I took a look at his new column on board game design and it looks fascinating.
