Daily Doodle: Cheerleader Girl

OHI0057 CheerleaderGirl 500

SO inspired by the SCBWI Illustrator Intensive last month. I'm back to posting a daily sketch over on http://DebbieOhi.com and have also (following David Small's advice) started carrying around a sketchbook with me everywhere, for live sketching opportunities.

I still do a lot of doodling on my iPad, but I find the iPad's a bit too heavy for stand-up sketching. Lusting after the Wacom Inkling (http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Inkling), and hoping it works as well as advertised.

Anyway, today's Daily Doodle was done using both Photoshop CS5 and Corel Painter. I've become convinced that eventually I'll use Photoshop exclusively, but I still have to figure out how to recreate some of my favorite Painter brushes using PS5.
