I created this illo for my interview with author Lois Peterson. I found myself doing the usual handwritten "tappity tappity" but then thought hey, why not use this opportunity to learn how to use Corel Painter's Pattern Pens? However, I couldn't get Painter to correctly capture the "tappity tappity" graphic. Searched online and found a solution posted by John Derry in this message board thread and used a Pattern Pen Mask instead.
