Birthday Doodles

As a warm-up to my day's drawing recently, I've done some birthday sketches instead of my regular Daily Doodles, just for the fun of it. Here are a couple of examples: both were done very quickly and just for posting on that person's Facebook Wall, and in each case I've tried to incorporate some aspect of their latest book or website logo.

A birthday doodle for Will Terry (I loosely based the frog on the one at the top of his website):

And one for Dan Yaccarino, based on his recent Doug Unplugged book:

Daily Sketch: It Wasn't Me

Today's Daily Sketch was inspired by a photo that Jeanne Hogle posted on her Facebook Wall a while back.

Update May 26, 2013: Over the weekend, I saw the cover of "I Didn't Do It" by Patricia McLaughlan & Emily McLaughlan Charest, illustrated by Katy Schneider, and it was uncannily similar to the image above. Please believe me when I say that I truly had NEVER SEEN "I Didn't Do It" before doing my Daily Sketch.
