Above: the first official trailer for NaNoMusical, the first-ever musical about NaNoWriMo. I was an extra! You can even see me in the trailer above, in the background in the short dancing scene. :-)

Created for Illustration Friday. This week's theme: "Mirror." I decided to use today's sketch to experiment with Corel Painter 12. I gave up on Painter a couple of years back because the update was too crash-y for me and I needed to work on my book illustrations, but I do miss some of the painterly effects.
I did the inking and woodcut effect in Photoshop and then imported it into Painter, used the pastel brush to add color texture.
Received a nice note from the SCBWI head office while I was at the cottage, along with a copy of my I'M BORED New York Times review. Details here.
