WunderRadio for the iPhone -- & a radio user survey

Jeff and I haven't had cable tv in about five years, and we also don't subscribe to any print newspapers. I browse publishing industry news sites every morning, so I'm aware when any news is so popular that it crops up in my feeds even if it's not directly related to publishing, and I also visit blogTO whenever I want to find out what Toronto's talking about.

Recently, I've also started listening to more radio, especially on my iPhone. I recently bought the WunderRadio app for the iPhone because it gave me access to not only CBC, but tons (about 36,000, according to the WunderRadio website) of other stations around the world. It costs more than the other apps ($6.99 in the iTunes store), but so far it's been well worth it.

Here are the radio stations I've added to my Favorites list so far:

What about the rest of you? Do you listen to radio at all? If so, what's your favourite station? If it's available through WunderRadio, I'll check it out.

WCRB classical in Boston. It's run by WGBH, so its URL is the confusing (http://www.wgbh.org/995/). I don't know anything about Wunder Radio, but it has a streaming feed online.

I start my morning with live, human contact, music I like and a DJ who has been top-rated here in the Detroit area for about 40 years, Dick Purtan on WOMC 104.3 FM (and HD-1). After his show is over, the radio goes to WOMC-HD2 for oldies of the 50's 60's and some 70's, commercial free. Or, like today, I went over to WCSX-HD2 for Deep Trax, classic rock rarer cuts, also commercial free. Their -FM and HD-1, is Classic Rock get for the car, but I tune in for Saturday and Sunday 'Over Easy' (7am - 12noon), with the mellower side of Classic Rock plus a good amount of accousitic and folk, focusing on local and local performing artists. If you like Smooth Jazz, then WVMV-HD2 is now the commercial free home for that, recently moved there after the FM entered the Active/Top 40 frey. All have internet streams.

This isn't hugely helpful since it's already on your list, but I mostly listen to CBC Radio One. My phone has an FM tuner built in to it, so I can do that with relatively little power consumption and no data usage. It also has an internet radio app, but I haven't explored it at all. I have to say that getting a little CBC during my commute has been a huge plus.
