I love creating found object doodles and post them on Instagram, "Found Object Art" gallery on Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and in my Found Object Art portfolio.

Share Article At an Illustrators' Lost Weekend with David Diaz a few years ago, I was fascinated by how David sometimes uses old postcards and magazine pages as canvases for his sketches. Love this idea.
I've been doing a lot more sketching lately to help keep my line loose and to make sure I don't get too "precious" about my drawing. I took advantage of a sale at my local art supplies store but am also starting to use more found objects as my canvases in an effort to save costs.
In addition to posting some of my sketches here, I've also started posting in my Creative Play Sketches set on Flickr.
In the image above, my sketchbook is the 2010 Royal Astronomical Society Of Canada Observer's Handbook. :-)

Share Article Recent sketches (incl. notes I took during a phonecall with my friend Beckett :-)).
Along the bottom: pottery handmade by my friend Luisa, decorated by me. I'll be putting some of these up for sale in my Etsy shop eventually.
